Semester Program Scholarships
Financial Need Scholarship: all Semester Program students
A number of tuition scholarships based on academic ability and financial need is available to any student interested in studying abroad on the UNSW Semester Program. These Financial Need Scholarships cover full or half tuition fees for one full semester at UNSW.

An application form can be downloaded on the left. If you intend to apply for a scholarship, you need to submit the application with references to support your application. It is recommended that you submit your application well before the start of your studies at UNSW.

Merit-based Scholarship: full year students
There are also Merit-based Scholarships available to full-year students in the Semester Program who have completed one semester of study at UNSW. The scholarships are awarded purely on academic merit, based on the applicant’s first semester results at UNSW. These scholarships cover full or half tuition fees for one full semester at UNSW.

Students interested in applying for this will need to provide recommendations from UNSW academic staff. Application forms can be downloaded on the left.

OSHC-sponsored scholarship
OSHC Worldcare sponsors a A$2000 scholarship for recipients to put towards any cost. This scholarship is only available to European, Asian and Latin American students.

Students who have been unsuccessful in their application for Financial Need Scholarship will automatically be considered for an OSHC-sponsored scholarship.

Semester Program Scholarship application deadlines
Scholarship applications for both Financial Need and Merit-based Scholarships have the same deadlines:

Application deadline for Semester 1, 2011 is Friday 19 November 2010.
Application deadline for Semester 2, 2011 is Friday 20 May 2011.

Pre-semester Short Course Scholarship
UNSW Study Abroad, in conjunction with Lady Elliot Island, is offering one scholarship to students enrolling in the course MSCI2051 Coral Reefs: Ecology and Environment. The scholarship covers the course fee, which includes six nights and seven days on Lady Elliot Island on the Great Barrier Reef.

Pre-semester Short Course Scholarship application deadlines

Application deadline for Semester 1, 2011 is Friday 17 December 2010.

Applicants will be notified of the outcome in early 2011.

Summer School Travel Scholarship
UNSW Study Abroad, in conjunction with our Summer School travel Provider, STA Travel, is offering one travel scholarship to students applying directly to UNSW Study Abroad for any of the Summer School courses in 2010. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of financial need and demonstrated academic merit, on a competitive basis.

The Travel Scholarship covers the cost of flights for the scholarship winner's chosen course, and is valued at approximately US$2,000.

An application form can be downloaded on the left. If you intend to apply for a scholarship, you need to submit the application with references to support your application. Please submit the scholarship application together with your Summer School course application form.
